The Portuguese Center of Photography (CPF) has existed since 1997, as a public service created by the then Ministry of Culture, to ensure a national policy for photography. Currently, he is supervised by the Directorate-General for Books, Archives and Libraries and his mission is to safeguard, enhance and promote the photographic heritage.
